Vegan wool is a type of wool that is made without any animal products or byproducts. Our vegan wool products are made using innovative, sustainable materials that mimic the texture and feel of traditional wool, but are 100% cruelty-free and vegan.

A rug is a heavy floor covering that can be moved to different areas of the room while a carpet is a fixed floor covering that extends over an entire room’s area. The key difference between a rug and a mat is their purpose. A rug is placed to elevate one’s home décor while mats are made of coarse material usually used by people to wipe their feet on. In terms of softness and fluffiness, rugs are number one followed by carpets and then there are door mats. There is no superiority, just a different purpose.

We take immense pride in the fact that ALL of our products are animal cruelty free and 100% Vegan. It breaks our hearts to see so many animals getting slaughtered for their fur/wool and a tremendous amount of water being used for recycling rugs that are mass produced and unsold which deeply impacts our planet. Our materials are sourced ethically and used judiciously. We go out of our way to ensure integrity of every component in our supply chain so that you receive a luxurious product without causing any harm to the environment and the community

Interestingly, not every rug is the same. Each rug has its own design and story behind it. With variations in the complexity of the designs, color palette and the size of the rugs, the time required to hand-make a rug also varies. We usually take 7-10 days for mug rugs and 15-30 days for small to large rugs once the designs are finalized. Complex designs and/or surplus in size rugs usually take longer than 30 days.

We ourself speak individually with every client to understand their requirements and visions and then crafts each rug from start to finish herself. From discussing your design to making every rug and then pasting the shipping labels on your rug packages, everything is done by us. We strongly condemn unfair manufacturing practices and we take immense pride in hand making each rug by ourselves.

Our rugs are hand made by the founder, Aparimita, herself. We do not wish to exploit any underpaid factory worker just to have lesser work and greater margins.
Aparimita is the first self-taught independent female rug artist in India, and 2 years later she still makes each and every rug herself. Whether it’s a mug rug or a 7 feet rug, Aparimita is the only one who crafts each of them.
